A rare and complete ML80 modular wall system designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, France, 1970s. Brushed aluminum uprights with solid connector blocks support a mix of smoked glass and wooden shelves in teak veneer — three narrower shelves (two smoked glass, one wood, 42cm wide) and three wider shelves (two smoked glass, one wood, 80cm wide) — alongside an integrated hi-fi cabinet (incl. space for plugs and holes for wires) and a dedicated lighting shelf. The lighting shelf has 2 LED-tubes with a switch and EU-plug. Fully revised and operational. The hifi cabinet can also double as a bar, if you'd prefer that ;-).
Partial original manufacturer's label remains inside the hi-fi cabinet (see photo), confirming authenticity.
Ducaroy is best known for the Togo sofa, but his shelving systems for Ligne Roset show the same confident use of material and proportion, here in a more architectural register. The steel-and-wood detailing and floating shelf construction make this a striking room divider as much as a storage system.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, only minor traces of use to the veneer here and there.
