Vintage Model 3113 Swivel Office Chair from 1969 by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen

An original Model 3113 swivel office chair designed by Arne Jacobsen and produced by Fritz Hansen, Denmark in 1969.

This elegant desk chair belongs to Jacobsen’s celebrated 3100 series and perfectly embodies the refined minimalism of Scandinavian modern design. The sculptural moulded plywood shell with its distinctive T-shaped backrest combines comfort, ergonomics and timeless aesthetics.

Mounted on its height-adjustable swivel base with castors, the chair was originally conceived for professional environments but works equally well as a stylish home office or studio chair.

The black lacquered bentwood shell has developed a beautiful vintage patina, highlighting the character of the material and the chair’s authentic age, making one wonder the stories this chair has already lived.

A highly collectible mid-century design piece that brings both functionality and iconic Danish design into any interior.

Seating height is adjustable, from +/- 43cm up to +/- 55cm. Works with a simple screwing system, simply yet highly functional and always works ;-). Label and production year on the bottom of the seat (see photo).
